Hendrix Youth Institute

Hendrix Youth Institute is the only engaged learning experience in the Arkansas Conference that inspires high school students to explore their faith, calling and leadership. 

The Hendrix Youth Institute program is currently formatted as a track alongside and adjacent to the Arkansas conference-wide Youth Assembly in July. 

The HYI track features a rotating group curriculum on Bible, Wesleyan History and Theology, Worship, and Spiritual Formation, and calling panel encounters with persons in various stages and expressions of ministry. These, along with opportunities to serve in mission and reflect, offer a wholistic “head, heart, hands” experience for call discernment.

HYI seeks to provide and cultivate the experience that Howard Thurman describes when he says, “I love Jesus for the shaft of light that he throws across the pathway of those who seek to answer the question, ‘What shall I do with my life?’”
